Opportunities

Here at A.U.P.C. we are devoted and sincere about children’s ministry. The Christian education team offers various opportunities for kids to shine their light out into the world. Their opportunities include: 

age specific Sunday school lessons within small groups, youth acolytes, monthly kids craft nights, monthly mini performances by children with bells, Sunday school kickoff party, Trunk-or-Treat with prizes, Christmas play program, family dance, Easter musical performance, end of the year summer kick-off party, church kickball game & church family picnic

Every Sunday during worship, toddlers through sixth grade learn biblical truths and life lessons that they can apply to their lives every week in Sunday school. There is a nursery available for parents to take their children when needed. All kids get direct pastor interaction during every worship service through the “Moment of Word and Wonder.”  

Third graders are gifted bibles, and are offered the opportunity to acolyte through their senior year to serve the light of Christ to our congregation weekly. 

Youth group is available to any interested kid in middle school through the end of high school. Our youth group is very engaging with our congregation. They have prepared and served dinner for the congregation, helped maintain the buildings and grounds, operated a

hot chocolate bar, provided a matinee movie for the community and took the Sunday school kids to the zoo with the money they raised at the hot chocolate bars. We do a youth led worship service once a year as well as meet twice a month. We promote discipleship through not only faith based lessons related to real life teen issues, but also with participation in community service projects. Our youth group meets the first and third Monday of every month from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

2nd Friday of the month from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
We offer free crafts and a snack for children aged 3-12.
